This is a lovely ballet style wrapover cardigan, just for the girls, knitted from the gorgeous Sirdar Smiley Stripes. It has a pretty ribbon tie detail and garter stitch trim and can be made with long or short sleeves and is described as an easy knit. Smiley Stripes is a multi coloured version of Baby Bamboo and is a soft, silky double knitting yarn available in a wide selection of lovely colourways including soft and muted, fresh and zingy and rich and bright. All Sirdar baby patterns are sized up to 7 years, so can be used over and over again for all the girls and boys in the house. Knit from Smiley Stripes DK, Baby Bamboo DK, and Sirdar also recommend Snuggly DK or Baby Crofter DK, although you could use any double knitting yarn, just check your tension first.
